Persistent Faith Doesn't Let Go

Persistent faith is not very easily put into words. It is a force that rises up on the inside of you and refuses to give up, back down, or change its confession even when what is readily seen before you looks utterly impossible. It's the kind of faith defies the words of the doctor when he tells you that you only have 28 days to live, and you're still here to tell the world about it. Ask Evangelist LeShae McKinney (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9xoiEd8axg). It's the kind of faith that stands believing for a $100,000 to purchase your very first broadcast television station. The deadline before defaulting on the deal is 3:00 p.m. and you're still before God praying until the very last moment and He shows up and shows out at 2:55 p.m.! (The story of Paul and Jan Crouch to purchase TBN's very first station). It's the kind of faith that refuses to let go regardless of what the natural eyes see. Take the story of this woman named Linda who had prayed that God make the rain stop during a prayer crusade, and was completely confident that it would (http://mtlmagazine.com/article/the-power-of-a-kingdom-womans-faith/). Or the testimony of Pastor James Lavender who was healed of multiple sclerosis by standing on the Word of God in persistent faith (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx6pD61YKLY).
In all of these situations (well, except for Linda's), these were life and death situations that could only be changed by God. What brought all of them to pass was the recipients standing on the Word of God in persistent faith that relentlessly would not let go. I'm sure they all had fear and the enemy was whispering in their ears that they were not going to get what they were asking for, but they stood their ground anyway. Persistent faith throws caution to the wind. Persistent faith says, yes I see what's in front of me, but I know what my God has promised me. It takes courage and boldness to stand when it looks like you might lose everything, but you choose to believe God!
When you're in the midst of your situation - whatever it may be - stand on the Word of God. The doctor says you're sick and you're going to die. Stand on the Word of God. You're three months behind on your rent and your landlord says they're going to file eviction. Stand on the Word of God. Your family is under spiritual attack and the situation seems hopeless. Stand on the Word of God!
Matthew 19:26 tells us that with God all things are possible. Circumstances will put your faith through the ringer. Situations will even try to make you lose your mind. We serve a supernatural God and we have to remember that no person, no entity, no law is greater than Him. Psalm 135:6 says that whatever He pleases, He does. Do you know of anyone who can stop Him? Recall the many miracles and marvelous acts of the Bible. Everything in there belongs to the child of God. Anything He did for them, He will do for us, but come hell or high water we've got to believe it! In times like these is when you see the true magnitude of your spiritual fortitude. You have to decide whose report you're going to believe (Isaiah 53:1).
In good times, trust God. In bad times, trust God. No matter what, trust God. You will always, always, always come out on the winning side! His Word guarantees it!
